Last Day Tenure in R&A

My last words to all my colleagues and friends today via email.

Please be informed that today, 24/12/2008 is my last day in R&A Telecommunication Sdn Bhd after 3 years contracting service here.

Starting join in R&A last 3 years after graduate from university without any experiences and only have 1% of theoretical knowledge, it is hard for me to gain and learn as much as I can in this company (a.k.a 2nd university) without all of your supports especially from senior staffs and expertise. My career path still far and hope that I can apply all the wonderful experiences and excellent knowledge that I had get from here to my future plan.

Therefore, I would like to express my deep gratitude and billions thanks for all of your advices, supports, opportunities, guidance, knowledge, experiences and etc during my tenure in R&A. It has been really magnificent and I am truly appreciated it.

Furthermore, I would like also to say trillions of sorry for those of my mistakes, misunderstandings, problems and any wrong doings that I’ve done directly or indirectly. I really hope that you will forgive me if I ever hurt your feelings.

Harapan dan Penantian

Harapan aku untuk bekerja di dalam company yang besar masih samar-samar lagi. Hari ini genap sebulan aku di interview oleh Huawei dan hari ini jugak aku diberitahu bahawa job offer aku masih dalam KIV kerana sudah hampir dengan hujung tahun katanya. Nasib aku akan ditentukan pada minggu pertama tahun hadapan 2009. Walaupun interview aku sudah pass tapi masih lagi tiada jawapan.

OCK, R&A competitor telah bersetuju mengambil aku sebagai engineer mereka tetapi aku kena mendaftar diri dengan mereka seawal yang mungkin kerana aku akan ditugaskan untuk mengambil alih sementara jawatan assistant projectr manager mereka untuk seminggu dan selepas itu menjadi engineer mereka seperti biasa. Aku bersyukur sangat dapat tawaran ni walaupun tidak ditemuduga oleh mereka walau sekali pun. Sebab yang assistant manager tu, Lokman member aku gak satu team di R&A, Lokman ingin aku masuk ke OCK kalau boleh dalam minggu depan. Aku masih lagi dengan pendirian aku tidak ingin meninggalkan R&A sebelum hujung tahun ni, yalah kan kalau nak ikut secara professional dengan tidak melepas tangan kerja yang melambak di ofis. Mesti lah kena ikut prosedur dengan handover kerja kepada officemate dengan betul. Dah 2 kali aku tolak dengan baik enggan mendaftar awal dengan OCK ni. Serba salah aku dibuatnya. Aku takut mereka tidak boleh terima aku kalau aku masuk awal tahun baru depan kalau Huawei job aku tak dapat.

Aku akan berpindah dari bilik sewaku di Subang Jaya ni rabu depan. Weekend nilah merupakan yang terakhir aku di Subang Jaya ni. Sedih rasanya. Banyak kenangan manis kat sini walaupun duduk seorang.

Banyak betul benda yang kene settlekan sebelum tahun baru nih, takut tak sempat nak habiskan. Habislah aku macam ni.

East Coast Trip

Last Tuesday 2nd Dec 2008, an adventure trip to Kelantan for site visit at Kota Bharu Trade Centre with Lo and Gopi. We were leaving from office at 4pm using east coast highway. Actually we want to use Raub-Gua Musang road but apparently changed to Raub - Cherating passing through Kuantan. We decided overnight at Kuala Terengganu before heading to Kota Bharu the next day.

Our trip back to KL using north-south highway. Before that, we passed by Kuala Kangsar, Kem Bina Negara, Ulu Kenas. Imagine that, the Kem Bina Negara inside waterfall and picnic area. Why all these facilities are not located in KL?

This is one of the memories that i would never forgotten.

Merdeka!

Hehehe...my contract in R&A will be finished end of this year. Huh lega rasanya setelah menempuh 3 tahun liku liku kehidupan bekerja di company nih. I just submitted resignation letter to HR last end of Oct and it effective until end of this year. Wow! my life journey will be started in new era as a young professional.

I was gambling myself to resign first before getting any job offer due to i have to been through 3 months noticed but apparently it was reduced to 2 months. After sending the letter, a big burden has been removed partially from me and it was totally passioning me to find other new prospective job in future.

After that, i have applied few positions in any medium (electronics, newspapers, friends and etc). After a week applied, interview calling from Huawei (the world's fast growing telecommunication vendor), NSN - Nokia Siemens (In-building coverage design projects) and OCK ( same as what i did in R&A but better pay).

Frankly say if i wanna become as telecommunication consultant, i might to try and get experiences from every single field in this telecom industry. Huh! looks hard but that's a reality.
Huawei is the best place for me to learn anything what i want before reaching my career objective.

The result will be known next week. Wish me luck.

Tayar Bocor

Dalam keadaan kelam kabut nak balik KL arituh after raya, tayar kereta bocor pulak. Menggunakan kudrat sendiri, terpaksalah aku menangguhkan trip balik yg sepatutnya bertolak pagi tetapi bertukar pada awal pagi esoknya dengan kelajuan 130-150km/h. Hampir 3 jam aku drive sampai ke shah alam ofis pukul 8.30am.

Birthday Messages and GIfts

Walaupun tak seramai wish dari kenalan dan family yang aku dapat kali ni... tapi ok lah daripada takde. Thanks to everyone. Birthday yang paling best sebab ia jatuh pada hari 'mantai' means hari raya eve 30th Sept.

Gift yg dapat.... pemberian uncle...dah lama usha spec nih, tp last2 dapat free.

Home Made Buka Puasa Menu

Semalam aku nak masak buka puasa sendiri untuk family. Adik2 aku semuanya dah complain bila nak buat sebab kat KL aku selalu bagitau diorang yg aku selalu masak sendiri. Biarlah ibu rehat kejap. Pagi2 lagi aku dah ke pasar beli daging cincang dan beberapa sayur fresh. Some of the bahan2 like Olive Oil, Mustard (nak buat sos pita) and Pita, aku dah bawak siap2 dr KL. Daripada membuang je kat umah Subang tu lebih baik pakai. Pastu terus menuju Jusco Tmn Univ untuk beli bahan2 yg lain. Aku start masak dri pukul3 dengan dibantu oleh on-and-off assistant, kembar aku.

Bila dah abis makan, aku mendapat thumbs up dr adik2 aku. Dont play play. Ibu kata anak mata dia hazel sekejap lepas makan western food ni. Tergelak aku. Aku belajar masak menu2 ni dari buku2, selalu tengok proram Asian Food Channel and masa Paris Trip dulu. Tu yang aku tau camana nak patahkan Asparagus dari batang kerasnya and camana nak buat meatball dari proram Jamie Oliver - The Naked Chef. huahuahua

Raya ni untuk Ibu

Alhamdullillah selamat sampai JB, rumah Ibu semalam dalam pukul 9pm. Aku mendapat cuti selama 2 hari (isnin dan selasa) dan hari lain dapat cuti free. Semalam pagi2 lagi aku dah cergas pergi ke Wisma PKNS shah alam dan Shah Alam Mall untuk membeli persiapan terakhir. Baru hari ni aku ada masa nak bershopping mcm tuh, hari lain sibuk design melayan karenah client yg tak reti2 nak beraya, asik sibuk pasal project. Sengal. Shah Alam sebagai lokasi shopping adalah kerana ia paling dekat ngan subang jaya dan nak elakkan massive jammed kat KL.

Barang2 yg aku beli pun bukannya untuk aku pun tapi untuk ibu dan adik2 seperti kuih - muih (murah betul harga sebalang dlm RM18, kalau kt JB dalam RM26 - RM27 sebalang), belikan Ibu tudung yan dia pesan dah lama dah (aku yg takde masa nak beli - memberanikan diri dan menebalkan muka masuk ke butik jual tudung lalu minta akak kedai nak warna sekian2, ada akak tu tanya untuk sapa ni dik, dgn selamba aku menjawab untuk mak saya kak, kakak2 n makcik2 yg ada kt situ semua tengok aku... malu gile...dah lah aku seorang je lelaki dlm kedai tu.... biasalah Lelaki Ini katakn). Lepas tu aku beli buat pertama kali dlm sejarah aku beli kain pelekat sendiri hahahah..... sebelum ni rembat je kain baru ayah punye.

Lepas shah alam terus menuju ke Seed Mid Valley untuk tukar size baju yg aku beli kat Seed sunway pyramid yg dah habis stok. Nasib baik trafik ok. Ramainya umat kt dlm mall tu, cari butik tu kat mana dan cergas balik subang.

Lepas Zohor kat umah, baring jap tunggu kembar aku abis shopping kat Sogo. Dalam pukul 3 lebih macam tuh, pungut kembar aku kt Keramat dan cergas balik JB. Ibu dah call beberapa kali tanya bila nak sampai sebab ibu dah siap masak juadah berbuka. Tak sempat nak jumpa ayah sebab lepas zohor tadi ayah dah gerak balik kampungnya di Gemas.

Ibu tak berbuka pun sebab aku dan kembar aku tak sampai rumah lagi, dia hanya minum air aje. Lepas aku sampai baru die makan. Aku tak tanya kenapa, diam jelah. Happy btul ibu, kitorang dah sampai JB dengan selamat. Berselera dia makan. Sayu jugak lah.

Tahun nih giliran aku beraya bersama ibu pulak di JB. Sebab tahun lepas beraya dengan Ayah. Ayah ok je dia faham. Oklah aku dah nak buat kerja rumah pulak mengecat. Ada sikit lagi yg tak siap kat depan rumah tuh. Hampeh btul adik aku ni, bukannya nak abiskan mengecat, Menteri Fasola ni jugak yg kene abiskan.

Raya ni ibu lah yg paling happy sekali sebab anak2 semuanya balik. Raya ni memang untuk Ibu.

Middle East Cuisine Day

It was happen last sunday when every meals that i had taken that day were middle east cuisine. On last saturday night, Amin my ex-colleague invited me to break fasting at Bukit Langat (KL look out point tower). Suddenly he was changed the plan to after break fasting time and Manchester - Liverpool match in Stadium Astro (damn ManU lose with the LIVER POOL - a pool got liver?). I accepted Amin's plan even thought i'm damn tired whole day staying at home completing Kota Bahru Trade Centre design and Park Royal Hotel design (Freelance job). We arrived at Bukit Langat at 11pm and we had sahur at 12am (already Sunday) at Arabic restaurant called Bread 'n' Olives. My menu was 'various type of Pitta - cheese, walnut, olive and lamb' beside Amin had his favorites Lamb Chop. First time i took sahur so early in this fasting month. Normally 5am sharp. Don't play play.

After completing another 30% of the freelance design and 100% of the Kota Bharu design on Sunday, i had rushed to KL sentral fetching my sister from JB and twin brother in Keramat. We had break fasting together in Rawsha's restaurant in Jalan Damai near to Jalan Ampang. We had buffet meal which is cost about RM35++ per person. The menu was originally from Lebanese and Yameni cuisine.

After Maghrib praying, me and my twin were choosing Shisha with apple flavored as our desert in Arabic style. The apple flavour quite strong compared to the shisha that i had tried in Hartamas before. You can see from shisha photo, another malay mix arabs was purposely came from Shah Alam to have shisha with his arabs people. Do not laugh, only can smile ok.

Access card

The new version of access card is introduced last week complete with laminated photo card.

Memories in Paris

This is short trip holiday to Paris and Reims end of last April. Purpose of this trip to seek European civilisation, lifestyle, culture and cuisine. I took 9 days of unpaid leave just to make sure that this dream plan is achieved. I stayed with my ex-R&A colleague who continued to study MBA in Reims, and took his semester break in spring season to chill out in Paris before heading to Reims on Day 6. The temperature was 17C at that time and it was the first time ever that I had travelled overseas by myself. I finally made it. We rented one apartment in Rue Morel in Oberkampf Street in the middle of Paris city. We stayed there for 5 days but only spent 250 euros for rental and 38 euros for our meal. Below is the summary of my visited places during the trip. All these places was suggested by my friend because I didn't know how to speak French. Damn French. I'm not a good travel storyteller. So enjoy reading. :)

Home-made Mee Soto

Mom was cooked it for lunch last saturday when everyone (siblings) is back. One of the my favorite local food.

Kota Bahru Trade Centre

Site survey with colleague, Lo for U-Mobile project last Tuesday. This site still under construction but they still proceed to survey. We took this opportunity to take photos for ourself in order to show off people that we are surveyor padahal penyibuk...

Laundry pun naik harga

Tengahari semalam pegi hantar satu beg baju ke laundry. Baju2 sejak balik dari Sungkai trip hingga Kota Bharu site survey. Dulu sekilo RM6 sekarang ni RM7 pulak. Aku tanyalah alasan kenapa naik harga, dgn selamba awek tu ckp tokey dia suruh. Bengang siot. Bukannya 1st time aku pergi sana, dah regular customer since stay TTDI Jaya dulu.

Sepetang di kota bharu

Sightseeing at museam and palace with Lo after had tasty Nasi Kukus in Jln belakang istana. We were also waiting for Khartik and Ramesh to arrive here before we had dinner together. The day before after survey, Lo wants to drop by at Pasar Seni Khadijah to buy souvenir for his parents. This is first time Lo has been here.
